ANDOVER PLANNING COMMISSION

SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE

December 11, 2001

Minutes

 

The Subdivision Committee of the Andover Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman Lynn Heath at 5:35 p.m. on December 11, 2001.  The other members present were Charlene “Charley” Lewis, and Sheri Geisler. Also present were Zoning Administrator, Les Mangus, City Clerk/Administrator, Jeff Bridges and Administrative Secretary Wilma Stoltz.

Call to order

 

 

Motion to approve the minutes of the October 9, 2001, Subdivision Committee meeting as presented was made by Lynn Heath and seconded by Charley Lewis.   Motion was approved 3-0.

Review the revised Final Plat of Cloud City Subdivision Phase 2.   Kenny Hill from Poe and Associates presented information on behalf of the developer.  Hill said that the Final had been approved and recorded and then it went to the retail businesses and they want Cloud Ave changed to the north for more parking. There would be an 8’ sidewalk on Cloud Avenue.  Lynn Heath would like to see park benches put along the sidewalk, which would connect Cloud Ave. to the Reserve in Phase I.  The sidewalk would be on the east side of the residential area and is to be in place when Cloud Avenue is in completed.

 

Motion was made by Sheri Geisler to recommend to the Planning Commission, approval of the Final Plat of Cloud City Subdivision Phase 2.  Charley Lewis seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

Review the revised Final Plat of Cloud City Subdivision Phase 2.

 

 

Review the Preliminary and Final Plats of the Andover 13th Street Sports Park.  Kenny Hill from Poe and Associates presented information.   Hill said that the existing Park Plat has 60’ on 13th Street.  Hill proposed paving in that area.   Jeff Bridges said the city exchanged 20’ of additional right of way along the front of the Osborne property for 20'’along the rear of the property.  Jeff Bridges said the bicycle/pedestrian path would be 10’ wide along to 13th, then 8’ to the fields and around the concession stands.

 

Motion was made by Sheri Geisler to recommend to the Planning Commission, approval of the Final Plat of the Andover 13th Street Sports Park with the satisfaction of the items on the checklist.  Charley Lewis seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

Review the Preliminary and Final Plats of the Andover Central Park.   Kenny Hill from Poe and Associates present information on the development.   Hill said we would need additional right away from the school on Yorktown Rd. 

 

Motion was made by Charley Lewis to recommend to the Planning Commission, approval of the Final Flat of the Andover Central Park with the satisfaction of the items on the checklist.  Sheri Geisler seconded the motion.   Motion carried 3-0.

 

Review the Preliminary and Final Plats of the Andover Central Park.
